The property provides a convenient base for exploring Cradle Mountain, Mole Creek Caves, Tasmazia and the Village of Lower Crackpot, Sheffield’s Town of Murals, and Tasmania’s Tasting Trail. Cradle Mountain, Devonport airport and the Spirit of Tasmania terminal are each withing approximately 35 minutes’ drive. Sheffield is a 10 minute drive. Launceston is about 75 minutes east.
Who we are
Silver Ridge Retreat offers Superior Cottages, Spa Cottages, a Spa Suite and a Studio. All cottages, the suite and studio are air-conditioned. All have a kitchen or kitchenette, WiFi, satellite TV and parking. Guests share a heated indoor pool. There is farm and native wildlife on the property, including platypus in the dams as well as an 1870s historic silver mine with glow-worms, cave spiders and limestone formations. The mine is for overnight guests only.
